Nadine Gellermann Anderson
Nadine Gellermann Anderson, 89, nee Holdforth of San Antonio, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. John Nolan officiating.
Interment followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Anderson was born Oct. 11, 1929, in Grinnell, Kansas, the daughter of Francis (Frank) Holdforth and Emma Ann Maimer Holdforth. She married Felix Gellermann on April 15, 1950, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1979.
She married Major Elmer (Stan) Anderson on June 8, 1996, in the Kelly Field Chapel in San Antonio. He also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by two daughters and one son, including Gail Flores of San Antonio, Steven Gellermann of Spring Branch, and Yvonne White and her husband, Jack, of Allen.
Survivors also include five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and one brother and spouse, Leroy and Darthey Holdforth of Fredericksburg.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth (Buddy) Holdforth, and two sisters, Ilene Shelton and Arlene Kelly.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, St. Mary’s School Endowment Fund or the charity of choice.
Pallbearers included Gregory Flores, Geffery Flores, Jack White, Treavor Edge, River Flores and Edwin Olsen.
