Mrs. David Berwick Vinson Jr.

Mrs. David Berwick Vinson Jr., 94, nee Helen (Patricia) Freiday of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 29, in the chapel at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with the Rev. Mary Ann Garrett officiating.

Entombment of the cremains followed in the church columbarium.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vinson was born Aug. 4, 1921, in Jefferson County, Idaho, the daughter of France Everett Freiday and Helen Katherine Abbott Freiday. She married David Berwick Vinson Jr. on Dec. 28, 1940, in Los Angeles, California. He preceded her in death.

She was the owner-officer of Assessment Systems, Inc., and a director of Texas Academy for the Advancement of Life Sciences.

She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.

Survivors include a daughter, H. Catharine Vinson of Fredericksburg, and two grandsons.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Vinson was preceded in death by a son, David Berwick Vinson III.
