Michael Chinigo, 64, of Blanco, died Friday, June 8, 2018.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with the Rev. Skip Blancett officiating.
Chinigo was born Oct. 15, 1953, in Stoneham, Massachusetts, the son of Elvin Chinigo and Mildred Bailey Chinigo. He married Gil Freeman Roberts on Aug. 13, 2008 in Salado.
A United States Army veteran, Chinigo retired after 30 years of service. He continued his service as a defense contractor in the Middle East for another 10 years.
While residing in the Texas Hill Country, he was employed by Tractor Supply.
Chinigo is survived by his spouse, Gil Freeman Roberts-Chinigo; two daughters, Samantha Gendron and her spouse, Tyler, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Clytie Roberts-Glage and her spouse, Rico Glage, of Washington, D.C.
He is also survived by a sister and spouse, Nancy and Robert Fuentes.
