John Mark Bohls, 75, of High Point, North Carolina, died Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Hospice Home in High Point.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Greensboro, North Carolina, with the Rev. John Fair officiating.
Inurnment followed in the church columbarium.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wright Funerals-Cremations of High Point, North Carolina.
Bohls was born July 13, 1944, in Austin, the son of Beth Boyce (B.B.) Bohls and Lydia Lindig Bohls. He married Louise Syfrett 52 years ago and she survives.
Bohls was a United States Navy veteran, serving as a navigator aboard the nuclear submarine, the USS Andrew Jackson.
He was also a graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in accounting.
He was a certified public accountant and a retired QA Analyst with AT&T.
He was also a pilot and HAM radio operator.
In addition to his wife, Bohls is survived by one son, Thomas Bohls of Greensboro, North Carolina; and one daughter, Penny Bohls of High Point, North Carolina.
Survivors also include two grandchildren and one brother, Jack Bohls of Texas.
In addition to his parents, Bohls was preceded in death by his sisters, Kathleen Rader and Carolyn Love.
