Ladyhorns take third place in Sonora volleyball tourney
After winning four consecutive matches in the first two days of the Sonora volleyball tournament, the Harper Ladyhorns finally lost, dropping a 17-25, 21-25 decision to host Sonora on Saturday morning.
But HHS redeemed itself later on in the day by topping Junction 25-17, 25-17 to earn a third place finish in the tournament.
The Ladyhorns (15-7) traveled to Hondo last night, but the results were not known by this week's publication deadline.
Harper hits the road again Friday when it rides the bubs to San Antonio Stacey. The freshman match starts at 4 p.m., followed by the junior varsity contest at 5 p.m. and the varsity action at 6 p.m.
The Ladyhorns return home Tuesday, Sept. 11, to host San Antonio Lee. The JVs open the evening at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity at 6 p.m.
