Harper FFA takes delegates to state event
Fifteen members represented Harper FFA at the State FFA Convention in Fort Worth this past summer.
Local students participated in the FFA State Rodeo, Public Speaking, Spanish Creed and Talent Contests, in addition to having students recognized as Star Award finalists and State FFA Degree recipients.
The week began with Kaylee Kramer, Kelan Bode and Peyton Haufpaur competing in the State FFA Rodeo in barrels, break-away roping and goat tying.

In addition, Marek also competed in the State FFA Public Speaking Contest, placing ninth, while Adrianna Ceballos competed in the Spanish Creed competition.
Along with Lumpkins and Kramer, Hallie Yates and Baylee Walker were each recognized during the Lone star Degree ceremony as they were presented their State FFA Degrees.
One final highlight for the Harper FFA was junior Hannah Cox competing on stage in the state talent contest as the Area VII FFA talent winner.
