Marilyn Henzler Treptow
Marilyn Henzler Treptow, 86, of Burnsville, Minnesota and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018.
Interment of the ashes in the Old Kinkler Cemetery in Hallettsville is planned at a later date.
Mrs. Treptow was born April 11, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of William F. Henzler and Margaret E. Hildebrand Henzler. She married Rev. Henry F. (Fritz) Treptow, May 30, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her in death.
The Treptow family first moved to Fredericksburg in the 1960s where he served as pastor at Bethany Lutheran Church. Then, they moved to Minnesota where he took a position with the Board of Pensions of the American Lutheran Church.
After retirement, the Treptows moved to Kerrville, and after the death of her husband in 2002, Mrs. Treptow moved back to Fredericksburg before returning to Minnesota last year.
The Treptow Scholarship Fund at Texas Lutheran University honors their memory.
Mrs. Treptow is survived by three children, Carol Zaudtke and her husband, David; Connie Huberty, and Chris Treptow; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Treptow was preceded in death by a son, Carl Treptow.
Memorials may be made to Ebenezer Arbor Lane Memory Care in Burnsville, Minnesota, or Knopp Retirement Home in Fredericksburg.
