End of season pool closing dates set

As the summer season is coming to an end, the City of Fredericksburg is announcing the dates of pool closings. The final day Coach Tony Knopp Town Pool will be open will be Aug.

City manager receives TCMA mentoring award

Lamb, goat exhibitors reminded to order show validation tags

Validation tag orders are now being taken by the Gillespie County Extension Office for those planning to exhibit market lambs, breeding sheep, wether dams, market goats, breeding Boer goats and wether does during the upcoming stock show season.

Out-of-town scout troops help complete local trail

Two female Boy Scouts of America troops from the Dallas-Fort Worth area recently helped complete a local trail for the City of Fredericksburg. During the week of July 12-19, scouts and leaders of two female Boy Scouts of America Troops from Midlothian and Cedar Hill helped the Friends of Fredericksburg Nature Center complete 34 feet of the Vista Loop Nature Trail at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park.
