Paving projects will impact locals
To ensure a smooth road ahead, the City of Fredericksburg is asking residents across the city to cooperate as its annual paving project gets ready to launch Monday, July 18.
City workers will go door to door to notify affected residents and business owners about the paving schedule.
Residents living on streets scheduled for repaving are asked to not leave vehicles, boats, trailers or the like unattended.
If such vehicles are left in the way of the pavers and the owner cannot be located, the vehicle will be towed to a location clear of the project at the owner’s expense, city officials said.
In addition, property owners are asked to refrain from watering and from mowing, trimming or weed-eating the grass on the day the street adjacent to their property is to be paved.
Rain will result in postponement until rain chances have subsided.
Any questions or concerns may be directed to the City of Fredericksburg at 830-997-7521.
Streets on the paving schedule (in alphabetical order) are:
• North Acorn Street, 400 block (from Travis Street to the end);
• North Adams Street, 100-300 blocks (from Main to Travis Street intersections);
• West Austin Street, 900-1200 blocks (from Kay Street to the end);
