Major, minor softball teams take district trophies

Minor baseball still in tourney play during Fredericksburg Little League’s run in all-star play

Fredericksburg Little League All-Star baseball and softball is underway with tournament play.

Major and Minor Baseball and Softball All-Stars began District 26 Tournament action last week.

Already set to advance to Sectionals are the Major and Minor League Softball All-Stars, who both won their best-of-3 series to win district.

Major Softball All-Stars beat Kerrville, 12-1, in Game 1 on Thursday, June 20, and won Game 2, 22-0, on Monday, June 24, to take the tournament hosted in Ingram.

Minor Softball All-Stars faced Boerne Little League in district. Fredericksburg won Game 1, 12-11, on Wednesday, June 19, and Game 2, 14-1, on Friday, June 21. Both games were in Ingram.

Minor Baseball still had a chance to win its tournament as of press time Tuesday, June 15.

The All-Stars won their tournament opener against Kerrville, 13-12, on Thursday, June 20, and lost to Boerne, 14-4, on Monday, June 24.

Fredericksburg is scheduled to face the winner of Harper and Kerrville on Wednesday, June 26 at 7 p.m. at Old Fair Park.

The two teams played on Tuesday, June 25. Scores were not available as of press time.

Major Baseball bowed out of district tournament in Ingram after a pair of losses.

Fredericksburg lost its tournament opener to Lakehills/Bandera, 8-2, on Tuesday, June 18.

The All-Stars followed with an elimination game loss to Kerrville, 21-5, on Wednesday, June 19.
