Harper marks Homecoming


The annual Homecoming event is being observed at Harper High School this week with activities to celebrate the school and school spirit.

Since Monday, Harper students have been involved with Homecoming activities, including “dress-up days.”

These special events included Super Hero Dress-Up Day on Monday, followed by Twin Day on Tuesday, Meme Day on Wednesday, Neon Day on Thursday and ending with Green and Gold Day on Friday.

A tailgate party is scheduled near the stadium tonight, Wednesday, beginning at 6 p.m.

A pep rally will follow at 7:30 p.m.

The week’s festivities culminate with Friday night’s Homecoming football game against Ozona at 7:30 p.m.

The school’s new Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at halftime of the football game.

This year’s candidates for queen include Marti Lumpkins, Kaylee Kramer, Quinn Stevenson, Keeley Marschall, Halli Lovell and Delanie Dunning.

Nominees for king are Slade Dermody, Carson Sivells, Bryceson Elliott, Dylan Sivells, Josh Talavera and Charlie Clark.
