Lavender Fest this weekend

Becker Vineyards will host its 19th Annual Lavender Festival Saturday and Sunday, May 6-7.

The vineyard is at 464 Becker Farms Road, just off Jenschke Road, along U.S. 290 West near Stonewall.

While the event is complimentary, parking costs $5.

Business hours are Saturday, May 6, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, May 7, noon-5 p.m.

The event will feature speakers and vendors promoting lavender education as well as herb-related products.

There will also be gardening tips, cooking demonstrations, wine tasting and luncheons.

There will also be more than 25 vendors selling lavender products, gardening-related items, and artisan gifts.

There will be Lavender Luncheons by Blanco’s Sullivan Street Caterers, on both days of the festival. The luncheons will be a three-course meal served with wine. The reception begins at noon followed by the luncheon starting at 12:30 p.m.

Saturday’s luncheon is sold out, but there is availability on Sunday.

The luncheon is $85, plus tax, per person. Reservations are required, and tickets can be purchased on-line at or 830-644-2681, extension 230.

Becker Vineyards will also have food concessions (Clear River Pecan and Oh My Pizza Pie) for those not able to make the luncheons.
