St. Francis Catholic Church to host annual parish festival
St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stonewall will hold its 25th annual Parish Festival on Sunday, March 5.
The public is invited to come and enjoy the food and afternoon of fellowship.
Events include a barbecue chicken meal, silent auction and prize drawing.
Tickets for the prize drawing can be purchased at weekend Masses, from parish members, at Weinheimer and Son Store in Stonewall or on the day of the festival.
A chicken barbecue meal with all the trimmings will be served at St. Thomas Hall, located at 390 St. Francis Street.
Plates are $9 each and food can be eaten in the hall or will be available “to go” through the drive-through.
Serving begins at 11 a.m. and continues until 1 p.m. or sold out.
To enter the drive-through, turn onto Keystone Street (by Weinheimer and Son Store) from U.S. 290. Then, turn right on Ranch Road 1 and continue to St. Francis Street where drivers will turn right. After picking up their plates, drivers will exit south (only) onto St. Francis Street.
A variety of items will be given away in the drawing, including a hand-sewn queen-sized quilt, certificates for dinners, gift baskets, fish fryer, engraved stone, metal yard art, handmade mesquite coat rack, Chevron gas card, Pampered Chef items, Savage rifle with scope, 24-inch fire pit, Keurig coffee maker, handmade rosary, year’s newspaper subscription, beer stein mug, granite Lazy Susan, 170-piece tool set by Crescent, James Avery gold teardrop lattice pendant and chain and Mr. Gatti’s family pack.
Also, wine tours and tastings, grilling sauces, game camera, car washes, Montana Silversmiths sculpture, electric knife and tool sharpener, 14K gold Serenity Prayer cross pendant and chain, Talavera steer skull wall art, passes to National Museum of the Pacific War, calendar and T-shirt, handmade cutting board with cross insert, Ivory Candlefire Candle with base, 20X straw cowboy hat, pet products, Casio “G Shock” solar powered watch, James Avery artisan jewelry Regal Heart key chain, numerous gift cards and more.
The silent auction will be held throughout the dinner and will close with final bidding at 1 p.m.
Mass at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on the day of the festival is at 10 a.m. only.
