Porsche car ‘Boxtoberfest’ will roll here
One hundred Porsches are expected to be in Fredericksburg this weekend for the 22nd annual Boxtoberfest Friday through Sunday, Sept. 6-8.
The Hangar Hotel will serve as the home base for the event, which features all types of Porsches.
Activities begin at 1 p.m. on Friday with a Friday Gimmick Rally Early Drive.
Participants will get the chance to pre-drive the Saturday main route from 1-6 p.m. on Friday.
Also on Friday from 1-6 p.m., participants can take part in a winery tour.
Registration is from 6-9 p.m. on Friday night.
A Show ’n Shine, chance to mingle with other attendees and view of all the cars will be offered from 8-9:45 a.m. on Saturday.
Late registration is also scheduled for this time.
Following a 9:45 a.m. mandatory drivers’ meeting, the drive departs at 10 a.m.
The main drive route is a 225-mile tour of the Hill Country while the scenic drive is a non-guided, self-paced event.
There will also be a gimmick rally.
Saturday evening includes a reception and closing dinner.
