    In spite of the lingering summer heat, it’s still time for fall football, the king of sports in Texas. Fredericksburg High School’s Battlin’ Billies traveled to Alamo Stadium in San Antonio for their season opener last Thursday, defeating the Sam Houston Hurricanes 35-26. Above, senior lineman Austin Shepherd (55) leads the Billies onto the field.
