Consignment shop offers brand names at reduced prices

Pam Harman never had a goal of opening a resale shop in Fredericksburg.

But with a passion for it and her seeing a need for a consignment store in town, she opened Shops on Llano in 2009.

“When I first opened, I had friends drop their clothes by and they wanted me to sell them, and through that, it evolved,” Harman said. “So many people have quality items and they can get some money for these instead of having them sit in their closet.”

The store sits on the corner of Llano and Travis streets and the bright-colored patio chairs bring customers through the doors.

“The chairs draw people in, but the inside of our shop almost has a completely different feel,” Harman said.

Shops on Llano carries mostly women’s clothing, shoes, jewelry and purses along with some men’s boots.

The store also has furniture on consignment as well as items that are brand new.

“I have always loved recycled goods,” she said.
