Billies team tennis' season continues with Dripping Springs rematch

A week off from match play has the Billies excited to get back on the court.

Fredericksburg High School varsity team tennis returns to play with a match against Dripping Springs at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, in Dripping Springs.

“I think we’re a little anxious to get back on the court,” head tennis coach Randall King said. “We had that tournament before school started and cancelations this past week … I think we’re just antsy to play. We played (Dripping Springs), 10-9, the other day, so we know that’s going to be a good match. We were missing a couple of kids, but they were missing a couple, too. It’s going to come down to the wire.”

FHS last played in the FHS/Tivy Tournament on Aug. 8-9, winning one of three completed matches.
