Elnor Dane Dull


ELNOR DULL

Elnor Dane Dull, 89, nee White, of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 1, at 10 a.m. at Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Houston with Dr. Darrell Coats officiating. Visitation was held beforehand.

Graveside services and interment followed Monday afternoon at the Dew Community Cemetery in Teague with the Rev. Carl Clark officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Ms. Dull was born April 6, 1924, in Dew, the daughter of Adolphous H. White Jr. and Coy Dee Hughes White.

She was a school teacher for 40 years, 38 of which were in the Houston Independent School District.

Ms. Dull is survived by one daughter, two sons and spouses, including Debby and Ken Messinger of Fredericksburg; David Dull and Sylvie Trepanies of Toronto, Canada, and John and Linda Dull of Pasadena.

David Charles Meurer

David Charles Meurer, 24, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, as the result of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the KD Ranch.

Memorials may be made to the Meurer family, 32 Beyer Rd., Fredericksburg, TX 78624 or to the charity of choice.

Janet Morgan

Janet Morgan, 59, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, June 27, 2013.

A memorial service is planned at a later date.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to M.D. Anderson Children’s Hospital or to the charity of choice.

Dale Priour

Dale Priour, 91, of Ingram, died Sunday, June 30, 2013.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 5, at 10 a.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville with interment following at Nichols Cemetery, near Ingram.

Memorials may be made to the Hill Country Youth Ranch at Ingram.

Joe Thaddeus Robertson

March 13, 1921 - June 17, 2013

Joe Thaddeus Robertson, 92, of Austin, Texas, passed away at home, June 17, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.

Joe was born on March 13, 1921 in Santa Anna, Texas to Juanita Hunter and Joseph William Robertson. He spent his earliest years in Waco, and moved to Austin after elementary school. He graduated from Austin High School in 1938. As a youth he was active in the Order of DeMolay, achieving rank of Chevalier for his outstanding service.

He attended college at the University of Texas, obtaining a bachelor of business administration degree after returning from military service. He subsequently entered the University of Texas Law School, where he graduated with a JD degree. Joe was active in the practice of law and was a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Travis County Bar Association.

Conrad Farnhof


CONRAD FARNHOF

Conrad Farnhof, 82, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, June 15, 2013.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, June 19, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Farnhof was born March 3, 1933, in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of Edward Conrad Farnhof and Ellie Elisa Jusslia Farnhof. He married Karleen Carlisle on Jan. 7, 1995, in Fredericksburg and she survives.

After graduating from Huntington Park High School in California on June 15, 1950, Farnhof enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served as an air police.

After being discharged in November 1954, Farnhof joined the Fredericksburg Police Department as a patrolman and retired with the rank of sergeant.

Robert A. Foster

October 14, 1934 - June 17, 2013

Robert A. Foster passed away Monday, June 17, 2013, at the age of 78.

Robert was born Oct. 14, 1934, to Ed Foster and Helen Robertson Foster in Electra, Texas. He grew up on the Foster ranch and attended Texas Christian University to study music, and Math and Physics.

He joined the Air Force ROTC program, earned his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying his Seminary friends to their Sunday Morning assignments. He graduated in 1957, worked at General Dynamics in Fort Worth, was commissioned in the U.S. Navy in October 1958, and married Martha Sue Michener in Midland, Texas. He was stationed at Pearl Harbor, assigned to the USS Elkhorn, and USS Maury.

Following his tour in the Navy, Robert worked for Lockheed Space and Missiles in California and General Electric Corp. in California and Houston.

Dorothy Lee Henderson


DOROTHY HENDERSON

Dorothy Lee Henderson, 89, nee Haberer, of Llano, died Wednes­day, June 19, 2013.

A memorial service was held Monday, June 24, at Waldrope Funeral Chapel in Llano.

Mrs. Henderson was born June 27, 1923, in Uhland, the daughter of William Max Haberer and Louise Marie Reidel Haberer.

She married Morris Henderson on July 25, 1947. He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2012.

During World War II, she was employed as a payroll clerk at the Camp Gary Air Base in San Marcos. She later accepted a position at the Internal Revenue Service offices in Austin.

The Hendersons lived at Buda a short time until their move to Llano County in 1948.

She was active with the Llano Home Demonstration Club for over 50 years, and at one time or another, held every office except chairman.

Mrs. Henderson is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Jean Henderson; one sister, Lavernia Eilers; four step-children, and seven step-grandchildren.

Martin Henry Lindig

May 28, 1929 - June 20, 2013

Martin Henry Lindig was born on May 28, 1929 to Emil and Ida Meckle Lindig at Hye, Texas.  He died at home on June 20, 2013 at the age of 84 years.

He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was a life member.

He attended the Junction School for the lower grades and graduated from Johnson City High School.

On July 25, 1948, Martin married Mavis Fuchs at the Methodist Church in Johnson City.  They have five children, David and Elizabeth Lindig of Johnson City, Nicky and Trina Lindig of Mancos, CO, Dianne and Ken Becker of Temple, Chris and Karlette Lindig of Johnson City, and Laurie and R.D. Childers of Austin.

James Dalton Vollmar


JAMES DALTON VOLLMAR

James Dalton Vollmar, 80, of Buchanan Dam, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013.

A memorial service was held Saturday, June 22, at 2 p.m. at Putnam Funeral Home in Kingsland. Military honors were accorded by the Highland Lakes Honor Guard.

Private inurnment of the ashes will be held.

Vollmar was born Feb. 8, 1933, in Fredericksburg, the son of Alfred Vollmar and Anita Hilda Gellerman Bankhead Vollmar. He married Nancy Chesher 10 years ago and she survives.

He served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force, retiring from the Air Force after 20 years of service.

He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Bandera Rodeo Association, PGA Association and the NRA.

In addition to his wife, Vollmar is survived by one son, Michael J. Vollmar of Leander; one daughter, Karen D. Vollmar Lawrence of Hutto, and two step-daughters, Keatha A. Brown and Marliese J. Stripling.
