Sheri Shelburne Petmecky

Sheri Shelburne Petmecky, 72, of San Antonio, died Sunday, April 19, 2015.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m., Friday, April 24, at Mission Park Funeral Chapel North in San Antonio.

Mrs. Petmecky was born June 27, 1942, in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. She married Fred Petmecky in 1968, in Hobart, Oklahoma, and he survives.

An Oklahoma State University graduate, Mrs. Petmecky was active for 32 years in the Palomino Patrol, serving as an officer for many of those years.

She was also very active in the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, where she served as a director and as the chairman of two committees.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Petmecky is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Sean Dooley, of Germany, and two grandchildren.

Robert M. Rhymes


ROBERT M. RHYMES

Robert M. Rhymes, 70, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 27, at Fredericksburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Foster officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Rhymes was born Aug. 15, 1944, in Baytown, the son of Jasper Monroe Rhymes and Alice Marie Prewshaw Rhymes. He married Paula J. Palmer in La Porte, and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Rhymes is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Bobby Hutson of Kerrville, and a son, Bobby Polker, of La Porte.

Memorials may be made to Fredericksburg Baptist Church.

Mrs. Robert E. Scott


MRS. ROBERT E. SCOTT

Mrs. Robert E. Scott, 101, nee Patricia Lola Mae Lewis of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Knopp Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 22, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Sidney Spiller officiating.

Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation was held Wednesday morning at the funeral chapel.

Mrs. Scott was born Aug. 1, 1913, in Eddy, the daughter of Corban Jerrell Lewis and Ellen Dematrious Rutherford. She married Robert E. Scott on April 18, 1936, in Houston. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy LaFleur and her husband, Clovis, of Fredericksburg, and Dolly Scott, of Greeley, Colorado.

Survivors also include nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Kathleen Stocker Smith

Kathleen Smith, 68, nee Stocker, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, April 23, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 1, at Wild Ride Ministry in Harper.

 Arrangements are under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Spina Bifida Association, American Cancer Society or the charity of choice.

Elizabeth Mary Weber


ELIZABETH MARY WEBER

Elizabeth Mary Weber, 77, of Fredericksburg, died Monday, April 20, 2015, at Knopp Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 23, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating. Mary Ann Murchison was the pianist, and Annette Whittington, the vocalist.

Interment followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation was held Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, and a vigil service was held Wednesday evening.

Ms. Weber was born Jan. 19, 1938, the daughter of Adam Weber and Meta Goehmann Weber.

She is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Esther Weber and Werner and Lena Weber, all of Fredericksburg.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Weber was preceded in death by one sister and one brother who died in infancy; one sister, Ida Weber, and one brother, Harry Weber.

Robert Frank Petermann, 92, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, April 24, 2015.

The family will greet friends on Monday, April 27, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Schaetter Funeral Home Chapel.

 A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, at 10 a.m. at Schaetter Funeral Home Chapel.

 Private interment of his cremains will take place at a later date.

 Memorials may be made to the Fredericksburg Tennis Association, Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Fredericksburg United Methodist Church or to the charity of choice.

Ames Sheldon (Mickey) Bell


AMES SHELDON (MICKEY) BELL

Ames Sheldon (Mickey) Bell, 104, of San Antonio and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, April 11, 2015.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 14, at the Family Chapel in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Ann Hoch officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home where visitation was held Tuesday morning before the service.

Bell was born Sept. 1, 1910, in Dennison Ohio, the son of James Ralph Bell and Georgia Carpenter Bell. He married Lois Elizabeth Pace on Dec. 15, 1934, in Fort Stockton. She preceded him in death on April 29, 2012.

As a child, Bell moved with his parents and siblings to Oklahoma and then later, in 1926, to Fort Stockton.

A Fort Stockton High School graduate, Bell attended the University of Texas where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon.

Frances June Green


FRANCES JUNE GREEN

Frances June Green, 86, nee Phillips, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 17, at the Family Chapel in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Lefan officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home where visitation was held Thursday evening, April 16.

Mrs. Green was born Aug. 18, 1928, in Gotebo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Faye Phillips and Mettie Dilbeck Phillips. She married Jim Green in 1955. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter, including Jim Green and his wife, Wilma, of Houston; Yvonne Bowden, Willow City, and Jeff Green, Hondo.

Survivors also include three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Green was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.

Mrs. Warren F. Miller, 100, nee Elenora Klein, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Knopp Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation will be held Friday, April 24, from 9:30-11:15 a.m.

The rosary will be recited at 10:45 a.m., Friday, April 24, at the funeral home.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 24, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with interment following at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.

Laverne Parker


LAVERNE PARKER

Laverne Parker, 96, nee Bode, of Harper, died Monday, April 13, 2015.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 17, at Lighthouse Fellowship Chapel in Harper with the Rev. James Engelmann officiating.

Interment followed at the Noxville Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home where visitation was held Thursday evening.

Mrs. Parker was born Nov. 6, 1918, in Gillespie County, the daughter of Oscar Bode and Ethel McDonald Bode. She married J.H. (Son) Parker who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Parker is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Levi Ellebracht of Fredericksburg; one grandson, four great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by one sister, Hallis Parker, and three brothers, Leo Bode, Cecil Bode and Floy Bode.
