Judy Tucker Pahl


JUDY TUCKER PAHL

Judy Tucker Pahl, 72, of San Antonio, died Monday, April 13, 2015.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 24, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home in San Antonio with interment following at Mission North Cemetery.

Visitation was held Thursday evening, April 23, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pahl was born July 6, 1942, in Austin, the daughter of Ovid Earl Tucker and Waunita Tucker. She married Tom Pahl on Nov. 27, 1971, and he survives.

Mrs. Pahl was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School and the University of Texas at Austin where she was an active member of Gamma Phi Beta.

She spent many years in the medical field as a medical technologist until her children were born.

Her second career was as a substitute teacher for Stevenson Middle School and O’Connor High School.

Mrs. John W. Slaton

Mrs. John W. Slaton, 61, nee Karen Humfress of Fredericksburg, died Monday, April 27, 2015, at Tri Star Nursing and Rehab Center.

A memorial service is planned at a later date.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Slaton was born Feb. 7, 1954, in Fikeston, Missouri.

She married John Slaton, who survives.

Kathleen Smith

Kathleen Smith, 68, nee Stocker, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, April 23, 2015.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 1, at Wild Ride Ministry in Harper with the Rev. Mike Weaver officiating.

Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith was born Oct. 27, 1946, in St. Claire Shores, Michigan, the daughter of Rollin John Stocker and Mildred Mae Frazier Stocker. She married John (Sonny) Smith on May 16, 1991, in Harper, and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith is survived by one daughter, Janeene Burnett of Harper; and six step-children: Debbie, Jeff, James, Michael, Kenneth and Kevin Smith, all of Illinois.

Survivors also include five grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren and a brother, Rollin C. Stocker of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.

Joachim Clemens “J.C.” Moellendorf, 86, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, May 2, 2015.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation will be held Wednesday, May 6, from 4-8 p.m., and Thursday, May 7, from 7-9:45 a.m.

A vigil service will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, at the funeral chapel.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 7, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Graveside services with military honors and entombment will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s School Help a Student, Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.

Margaret Ann Brockman


MARGARET ANN BROCKMAN

Margaret Ann Brockman, 84, nee Schacher, of Nazareth, Texas, died Saturday, April 25, 2015, in Dimmitt.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth with the Rev. Ken Keller and Deacon Bob Birkenfeld officiating.

Interment followed at Holy Family Cemetery.

Rosary and vigil services were held Monday evening at the church.

Arrangements were under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Mrs. Brockman was born March 29, 1931, at Nazareth, the daughter of Louie and Elma Schacher. She married Jerome Brockman on April 24, 1950, in Nazareth, and he survives.

For over 20 years, Mrs. Brockman managed the Holy Family Gift Shop. She was also involved in the community with Christian Mothers, German Sausage Festival and the Christmas pageant.

Kathleen Robinson Burrus

Kathleen Robinson Burrus, 75, of Harper and formerly of Greenville, died Monday, April 27, 2015.

A memorial service is being held today, Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 3 p.m., at Kavanaugh United Methodist Church in Greenville.

Memorials may be made to the Music Programs at Kavanaugh United Methodist Church, 2516 Park St., Greenville, TX  75401.

Arrangements are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home of Greenville.

Linda Ann Carlisle

Linda Ann Carlisle, 57, nee Boerum, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, April 23, 2015.

A private family service is planned at a later date.

Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Ms. Carlisle was born April 30, 1957, in Norwalk, Connecticut, the daughter of Chester Boerum and Shirley Searles Boerum.

She is survived by five children, including A.J. Lujano, of Austin; Gregg Scott, Leander; Vanessa Stenulson and her husband, Aaron, Austin; Zachary Carlisle and Emily Carlisle, both of Fredericksburg.

Survivors also include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Sharon Boerum and Tom and Linda Boerum, all of California.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Freda Davis Doran

Freda Davis Doran, 74, of Kingwood and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Monday, April 13, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 2, in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Willard Jordan, 80, of Mason and Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015.

Funeral services are being held today, Wednesday, April 29, at 1:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church in San Saba, with interment following at 5:30 p.m., at Gooch Cemetery in Mason.

Mrs. Warren F. Miller


MRS. WARREN F. MILLER

Mrs. Warren F. Miller, 100, nee Elenora Klein, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Knopp Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 24, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating. Mary Ann Murchison was the pianist, and Liz Tynan, the vocalist.

Interment followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation and a rosary service, led by Deacon Pat Klein, were held Friday morning before the Mass.

Mrs. Miller was born March 16, 1915, in Gillespie County, the daughter or Joe J. Klein and Otilia Duecker Klein. She married Warren F. Miller on Sept. 12, 1933, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1979.

She is survived by two sisters, Viola, Mrs. Clemens Immel, and Rufina, Mrs. Elgin Heep, both of Fredericksburg; and one daughter-in-law, Cheryl, Mrs. James Miller, of San Antonio.
