Lila (Spooky) Hartmann, 69, of Irving and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2014.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Nancy Inman


NANCY INMAN

Nancy Inman, 65, nee Gold, of Willow City, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014.

Graveside services and interment were held Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 10 a.m. at the Willow City Cemetery with the Rev. Pam Traver officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home where visitation was held Monday evening, Sept. 15.

Mrs. Inman was born Aug. 26, 1949, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Clinton Gold and Florine Land Gold. She married Marion Inman in 1975. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2012.

She was employed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and worked at the Admiral Nimitz Museum.

Survivors include a son, Shawn Inman of Willow City; a daughter and son-in-law, Mandie and Travis Cook of Fredericksburg; one granddaughter, and a sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Kenneth (Stormy) Maner of Doss.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Vivienne C. Jones

Vivienne C. Jones, 86, nee Duncan, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014.

A funeral mass was celebrated at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 19, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating. Mary Ann Murchison was the pianist, and Donna Jackson, the vocalist.

A rosary service was held beforehand.

Interment followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Waterville, Maine, the daughter of James and Helene Duncan. She married Albert M. Jones on April 2, 1951, and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jones is survived by two daughters, Mary Fluckey and her husband, Bruce, and Carolyn Lind.

Survivors also include six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a sister, Joy Noble.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, as well as a son, Alan Michael Jones.

John Lee (Coonie) Kasper


JOHN LEE (COONIE) KASPER

John Lee (Coonie) Kasper, 53, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at Fredericksburg Nursing and Rehab.

A memorial service was held Friday, Sept. 19, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with Deacon Patrick Klein officiating.

Visitation with the family was held beforehand.

Interment of the cremains will take place at a later date.

Kasper was born Aug. 3, 1961, in Anahuac, the son of Kenneth Karl Kasper and Kathryn Reeh Kasper.

Survivors include his mother, Kathryn Kasper, of Fredericksburg; two sisters, two brothers and spouses, including Glenn Wayne Kasper and Kendnel and Yollie Kasper, all of Fredericksburg; Marsha and Conrad Welge and Kandice and Myron Jost, all of Doss, and a sister-in-law, Sherry, Mrs. Kelly Kasper of Fredericksburg.

Kasper was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Kelly Kasper.

Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.

Donna Melville Kluckman


DONNA MELVILLE KLUCKMAN

Donna Melville Kluckman, 92, of San Antonio and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at Sodalis Elder Care in San Antonio.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 26, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Graveside services with military honors and interment will follow at 1:30 p.m., Friday, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Mrs. Kluckman was born Nov. 26, 1921, in New York, New York, the daughter of Ellsmere Melville and Irene Kelly Melville.

She is survived by eight children, 16 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Karl-Heinz J. Krenz

Karl-Heinz J. Krenz, 65, of Wimberley and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2014.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 26, at 10 a.m. at Thomason Funeral Home in Wimberley.

Interment with full military honors will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or any local VFW Post.

Ralph Eugene McCullough II

Ralph Eugene McCullough II, 86, of Brownwood, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Davis Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Brownwood with the Rev. Tim Skaggs officiating.

Interment followed at Eastlawn Memorial Park.

McCullough was born Jan. 15, 1928, in Tom Green County, the son of Ralph Earl McCullough and Isabell Emeline Cooper McCullough. He married Joyce Nell Joiner on Dec. 5, 1945. She preceded him in death.

After graduating from Eola High School in 1944, McCullough received his technical and advanced education at San Angelo Junior College, U.S. Navy electronics and airborne ordinance schools, national schools and Southern Methodist University.

McCullough served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1947 and was discharged with the rank of ARM2C. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from 1948-1956 and was discharged with the rank of first lieutenant.

Jerry Wayne Durst, 58, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 22, from 4-7 p.m., and Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 7-9:15 a.m.

The body will lie in state at Schaetter Funeral Home until 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, Sept.  23, and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Gillespie County Farm Bureau Event Center.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m., at the Gillespie County Farm Bureau Event Center, with interment following at Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Jerry W. Durst Scholarship Fund or to the charity of choice.

Sadie Oleane Walker Barrett


SADIE OLEANE WALKER BARRETT

Sadie Oleane Walker Barrett, 87, of Harper, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at River Hills Health and Rehab in Kerrville.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Kerrville with the Rev. Bob Allen officiating.

Interment followed in the Harper Community Cemetery.

Visitation was held Friday evening, Sept. 12, at the funeral chapel.

Mrs. Barrett was born Aug. 6, 1927, in the Reservation community of Kerr County, the daughter of Olin Bryan Walker and Reseda Anna Bode Walker. She married Milton Wayne Barrett on April 10, 1947, in San Antonio.

She attended Reservation Primary School and graduated from Harper High School.

The Barretts owned and operated Wayne Barrett Electric Company in San Antonio and ranched at Harper.
