Mrs. Clayton Kuhlmann

Mrs. Clayton Kuhlmann, 82, nee Beatrice Joy (Bea) Peese, of San Angelo, died Monday, April 21, 2014.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 24, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in San Angelo with the Rev. Randall Wehmeyer officiating.

Interment followed in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was held Wednesday evening, April 23, at Johnson’s Funeral Home in San Angelo.

Mrs. Kuhlmann was born Feb. 7, 1932, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Edwin and Lillian Peese. She married Clayton Kuhlmann on June 3, 1950, and he survives.

She was a 1949 Fredericksburg High School graduate.

The Kuhlmanns lived in various cities before settling in San Angelo in 1967.

She sold Avon before working in retail sales, primarily in the cosmetic department at Hemphill Wells and Dillard’s.

Mrs. Kuhlmann was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Concho Pearls Lions Club.

Albert E. Meier

Albert E. Meier, 93, of Stonewall, died Saturday, April 26, 2014.

Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, April 30, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with interment following Wednesday afternoon in the Wilke Cemetery at Albert.

Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Hill Country Antique Tractor and Engine Club or to the charity of choice.

Joyce Lucille Wienecke Mosty

Joyce Lucille Wienecke Mosty, 80, of Kerrville, died Saturday, April 5, 2014.

A memorial service was held Thursday, April 10, at 10:30 a.m. at Southern Oaks Baptist Church in Kerrville with the Rev. Joe Taylor officiating.

Ms. Mosty was born July 16, 1933, at Doss, the daughter of Adolph Wienecke and Pearl Chesser Wienecke.

The Wienecke family soon moved to Kerrville where she spent the first six years of school at Tivy Elementary. They moved to Fredericksburg where she attended school, graduating from Fredericksburg High School.

For 19 years, Ms. Mosty was a case worker for the Kerrville State Hospital.

During retirement, she volunteered at the Salvation Army Thrift Store and the Humane Society Thrift Store.

Ms. Mosty is survived by two sons and one daughter, including Shay Cowden of Kerrville; Tony Mosty Jr. of Center Point, and Matt Mosty of San Antonio.

William J. (Bill) Puffer

William J. (Bill) Puffer, 75, of Fredericksburg, died Sunday, April 13, 2014.

A memorial service was held Thursday, April 24, at 2 p.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church with the Rev. Willis McCall officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Puffer was born Dec. 7, 1938, in Newport, R.I., the son of Charles F. Puffer and Pansy H. Baker Puffer.

He served with the United States Navy and then the United States Merchant Marines as a wainwright.

Puffer is survived by three sons, including Skip Puffer of Baytown, John Puffer and his wife, Karen, and Todd Puffer, all of Nacogdoches.

He is also survived by two sisters, Nancy Timmer of Fredericksburg and Pricilla Ogg of Sugarland, and one brother, John Puffer of Conroe.

In addition to his parents, Puffer was preceded in death by a brother, Charles F. Puffer, and a sister, Shirley Esther Puffer.

Bonnie Faye Reeves

Bonnie Faye Reeves, 80, nee Mills, of Llano, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, in Fredericksburg.

Private funeral services were held under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba.

Mrs. Reeves was born July 9, 1933, in San Saba, the daughter of Charley Odus Mills and Flossie May McCarty Mills. She married Ralph Reeves who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, a Daughter of the American Colony and a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

Mrs. Reeves is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, including Marretta and Edward Davison of Llano, Janet and John Morgan of Dallas and Judy and Joe Wiley of Iola.

Survivors also include seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two sisters.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her father, Charley Mills, and her mother, Flossie May McCarty Mills Sikes.

Mrs. Victor Rosales

Mrs. Victor Rosales, 93, nee Maria R. Morales, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Knopp Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A funeral mass was celebrated Friday, April 25, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim Harnan officiating.

Entombment followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation and a rosary service were held Friday morning.

Mrs. Rosales was born Maria del Retujio Morales, April 20, 1921, in Mexico, the daughter of Bruno Morales and Petra Gonzales Morales. She married Victor Rosales on Nov. 24, 1948, in Monterrey, Mexico. He preceded her in death.

She worked in the food service department of a large department store.

Mrs. William Stanley Wissemann

Mrs. William Stanley Wissemann, 89, nee Lillian Braeutigam, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, April 26, 2014.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church with interment following at Der Stadt Friedhof.

Memorials may be made to Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, Hill Country Memorial Home Health Care, PAWS or to the charity of choice.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Oris A. Brehmer


ORIS A. BREHMER

Oris A. Brehmer, 89, of Houston, died April 15, 2014.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 22, at 11 a.m. at Sugar Grove Church of Christ in Meadows Place.

Interment with military honors followed on Wednesday afternoon, April 23, at Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg.

Visitation was held Monday, April 21, at Earthman Southwest Chapel in Stafford.

Brehmer was born Dec. 29, 1924, in Luckenbach, the son of Walter E. Brehmer and Dorothea A. Schupp Brehmer. He married Jean Feller on Oct. 9, 1947. She preceded him in death.

He was a 1942 graduate of Fredericksburg High School and a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1943-1946.

After living in San Antonio for 20 years, the Brehmers moved to Houston in 1967. He was employed at Kinder Morgan (and its predecessors) from 1946 to 1989.

He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Brehmer, of Austin.

William G. Cox

William G. Cox, 86, of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Knopp Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

No services are planned at this time.

Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Cox was born March 23, 1928, in Tyff City, Mo., the son of Jesse Cox and Lena Mary Lish Cox. He married Lorna Steadman on Jan. 30, 1971, in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Cox is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, including Linda and Rico Macullo of British Columbia, Canada; Robin and Ed Renaud of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Barbara and Richard Poulos of Houston.

He is also survived by four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Charlie Cox of Huntsville, Ala.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Richard Lyle (Dick) Dorer Sr.

Richard Lyle (Dick) Dorer Sr., 77, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, April 19, 2014, in an Austin care facility.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Graveside services and interment of the cremains will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, Texas Lions Crippled Children’s Camp or to the charity of choice.
