Mrs. Karry Franklin

Mrs. Karry Franklin, 61, nee Debra Ann Hawkins of Fredericksburg, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2015.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with Deacon Pat Klein officiating.

Disposition of the cremains is planned at a later date.

Mrs. Franklin was born Aug. 4, 1954, in Abilene, the daughter of Benjamin Luther Hawkins and Dorothy Ann Westerhoff Hawkins. She married Karry Franklin on Nov. 7, 1992, in Fredericksburg and he survives.

In addition to her husband who resides in Leander, Mrs. Franklin is survived by one daughter, Sara Shoreland of Austin; two sons, Christian Franklin of Mesquite and Ty Franklin of College Station, and one sister, Elizabeth Jimenez of Georgetown.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

John Stephen Graham

John Stephen Graham, 61, of Harper, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home, with Deacon Pat Klein officiating.

Visitation was held prior to the service.

Graham was born Jan. 8, 1954, in Houston, the son of Theodore Stephen Graham and Katherine Evelyn Known Graham.

He was a graduate of the University of Texas.

Survivors include his sister, Lisa C. Jackson of Johnson City.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Mrs. Clayton Grobe

Mrs. Clayton Grobe, 86, nee Rosa Straube of Doss, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at Knopp Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Private interment of the cremains is planned at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Doss Volunteer Fire Department or to the charity of choice.

Mrs. Herbert Kuhlmann

Mrs. Herbert Kuhlmann, 94, nee Lina Hulda Thelka Barsch of San Antonio, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2016.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Beitel Memorial Lutheran Church in San Antonio, with interment following at Mission Park North.

Arrangements were under the direction of Simplicity Funeral Home.

Mrs. Clyde LaLanne, 79,  nee Gwendolyn Martin of Cypress and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Kindred Hospital in Tomball.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 13, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with interment following at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. Hubert A. Maurer

MRS. HUBERT A. MAURER

Mrs. Hubert A. Maurer, 84, nee Selma Bertha Kirchhoff of Fredericksburg and formerly of Harper, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at Knopp Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Harper with the Rev. Mike Peinemann officiating. Peggy Ernst was the organist and the church choir sang.

Interment followed at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation and a vigil/rosary service, led by Deacon Curtis Klein, were held Friday evening.

Mrs. Maurer was born Oct. 20, 1931, in Kimble County, the daughter of Alfred Christian Kirchhoff and Anna Pauline Jentsch Kirchhoff. She married Hubert August Maurer on Oct. 29, 1957, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Harper. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 2005.

Over the years, she was a member of St. Ann’s Society at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Hugo Alvin (Porky) Stehling Jr., 78, of El Paso, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, followed by a private graveside service and interment at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Prior to the Mass, visitation will start at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s, followed by a rosary service at 10:30 a.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or to CASA of El Paso.

Arrangements are under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of El Paso.

Marcelo M. Victorino

MARCELO M. VICTORINO

Marcelo M. Victorino, 58, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in La Pryor, with interment following in the La Pryor Cemetery.

Rosary services were held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Uvalde.

Local arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Victorino was born Nov. 9, 1957, in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico, the son of Patricio R. Victorino and Dominga Montelongo Victorino.

Victorino is survived by one daughter, one son and spouses, including Priscilla and Isidro Garza of La Pryor and Jesus and Lucy Victorino Sr. of Uvalde, and four grandchildren.
