Mrs. Fred Stehling


MRS. FRED STEHLING

Mrs. Fred Stehling, 66, nee Shirley Ann Rust of Comfort, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Comfort Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Holt officiating.

Interment followed in the Comfort Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home of Comfort where visitation was held Tuesday evening, Sept. 22.

Mrs. Stehling was born Sept. 5, 1949, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Max Rust and Lydia Seewald Rust. She married Fred Stehling on June 15, 1974, in Fredericksburg, and he survives.

Mrs. Stehling started working in the Kendall County District Clerk’s office in 1969. She served her first term as district clerk in 1982 and retired from that position in March of 2009.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Stehling is survived by a sister, Betty Schladoer, and a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Carol Rust, all of Comfort.

Jon (Randy) Thompson

Jon (Randy) Thompson, 65, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church.

Graveside services and interment of the cremains is planned at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Randy Thompson Scholarship Fund through the Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

JON (RANDY) THOMPSON

Jon (Randy) Thompson, 65, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m., at the church.

Graveside services and interment of the cremains is planned at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Randy Thompson Scholarship Fund through the Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jim Faught, 85, nee Vernell E. Itz, of Doss, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home where visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25.

William J. Alexander, 91, of Fredericksburg, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015.

A private burial service was held under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Elsie Heimer Biesenbach


ELSIE HEIMER BIESENBACH

Elsie Heimer Biesenbach, 79, of Bulverde, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bulverde, with interment following in the church cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Zoeller Funeral Home of New Braunfels where visitation was held Tuesday evening, Sept. 15.

Mrs. Biesenbach was born Dec. 31, 1935, the daughter of Alvin Heimer and Elsie Moehrig Heimer and grew up in Bulverde. She married Charlie Biesenbach on Nov. 24, 1955. He preceded her in death in March 2012.

She is survived by three sons, two daughters and spouses, including Calvin Biesenbach, of Bulverde; Marcia and Ron Deike, Boerne; Jerry and Joni Biesenbach, Stonewall; David and Jaime Biesenbach, Spring Branch, and Marlene True and her husband, Derence Fivehouse of Edenton, North Carolina.

Mrs. Raymond L. Cannon

Mrs. Raymond L. Cannon, 84, nee Elaine Hamelstein Gibbs, of Fredericksburg, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2015.

Graveside services and interment will be held at 3 p.m., today, Wednesday, Sept. 23, in the Comfort Cemetery in Comfort.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Donald Dittmar


DOROTHY (DOT) DITTMAR

Mrs. Donald Dittmar, 74, nee Dorothy Jean (Dot) Gresham, of Plano and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 18, at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Rick Hartmann officiating.

Inurnment of the ashes at Greenwood Cemetery took place before the memorial service.

Mrs. Dittmar was born Dec. 3, 1940, in Greenville, South Carolina, the daughter of Byron Theodore Gresham and Martha Ann McDonald Gresham. She married Donald Dean Dittmar on April 8, 1961. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1991.

Mrs. Dittmar was active in the community and her church, Zion Lutheran, where she served on the church council, taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, was an officer in the Women of the Church, chaired the Evangelism Committee for many years and was an offering teller. She was a Stephen Minister and also a volunteer for Little Lambs.

Julian Michael (Mike) Ebert

Julian Michael (Mike) Ebert, 55, of Ashland, Ohio, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 17, 2014, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Columbia, Tennessee.

Arrangements were under the direction of Williams Funeral Home of Columbia, Tennessee.

Ebert was born Dec. 31, 1958, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Julius M. Ebert Jr. and Jeanette C. Poeppelman Ebert.

He had worked as a machinist for several companies and in the bindery department at Bookmasters in Ashland, Ohio.

Ebert is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Samantha Ebert of Birmingham, Alabama; his mother, Jeanie C. Ebert of Duck River, Tennessee; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Fred Reifsteck of Athens, Georgia, and his twin brother, J. Mark Ebert of Duck River, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Milford Ebert.

Mrs. Carlton Eckert, 73, nee Lois Kay Willmann, of Fredericksburg, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 24, at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be made to the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church Building Fund, Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.
