Mrs. Harold Pahl

Mrs. Harold Pahl, 88, nee Meta Schaeferkoeter of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Knopp Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 23, at 2 p.m. at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church with interment following at Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Arthur W. Rowe

Mrs. Arthur W. Rowe, 92, nee Ruby Lomenick of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Windcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, June 25, at 10 a.m. at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church with interment following at Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church or to the charity of choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Donald (Don) Stevens


DON STEVENS

Donald (Don) Stevens, 88, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Knopp Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

A funeral mass was celebrated Tuesday, June 17, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating. Mary Ann Murchison was the pianist, and Dr. Charles Schmidt, the vocalist.

Private family entombment of his cremains will take place at a later date.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation and a vigil service were held Monday evening, June 16.

Stevens was born Sept. 17, 1925, in Buffalo, New York, and was retired from the United States Air Force.

Stevens was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he belonged to the Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph’s Society.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Carol Stevens and Robert F. and Barbara Ann Stevens; one grandchild, and a sister, Patricia Little.

Rinie Zimmermann

Rinie Zimmermann, 95, of Fort Worth and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Friday, June 13, 2014.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 19, at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Rick Hartmann officiating.

Visitation was held beforehand at the church.

Interment followed at Der Stadt Friedhof.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Zimmermann was born Aug. 25, 1918, in Hutto, the son of Emil Zimmerman and Ida Munzenmayer Zimmerman. He married Quintella Lees on June 26, 1946. She preceded him in death on June 21, 1996.

Zimmermann served in the United States Army during World War II, attaining the rank of captain.

He is survived by a daughter, Glenda Hunt of Bedford, and a son and daughter-in-law, Vance and Stacy Zimmerman of Elgin.

Survivors also include five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a brother and sister-in-law, John and Sue Zimmerman, and a sister, Lillian Israel.

Louis Otto Dietrich Jr., 60, of Harper, died Sunday, June 22, 2014.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 24, from 5-7 p.m., and Wednesday, June 25, from 7:30 a.m.-12 noon, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home and from 1-2 p.m., at Bethany Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 25, at 2 p.m., at Bethany Lutheran Church, followed by interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church or to the charity of choice.

 

MRS. ARTHUR W. ROWE

Mrs. Arthur W. Rowe, 92, nee Ruby Lomenick, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Windcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

The body will lie in state from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church where the funeral will begin at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Robert (Bob) Barth, 78, nee Betty Elane Crumley, of Comanche, died Sunday, June 15, 2014.

Arrangements are under the direction of Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City where visitation will be held Thursday, June 19, from 6-8 p.m.

Graveside services and interment will be held Friday, June 20, at 2 p.m., at the Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Mrs. Claude Gray, 85, the former Eula Marie Chappell Perrault of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 21, from 1-2 p.m. at Hill Country Evangelical Free Church where the memorial service will begin at 2 p.m.

Graveside services and interment of the cremains will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Golden Hub Community Center, Die Künstler von Fredericksburg (The Artists of Fredericksburg) or Hill County Memorial Hospice.
