DR. WILBUR E. CRENWELGE

Dr. Wilbur E. Crenwelge, 84, of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation will be held Friday, March 4, from 4-6 p.m. and Saturday, March 5, from 7-8:15 a.m.

The body will lie in state at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 5.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church with interment following at Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, Hill Country Memorial Wellness Center Cardiac Rehab or to the charity of choice.

Alexander Nathanial Conley

ALEXANDER NATHANIAL CONLEY

Alexander Nathanial Conley, 21, of Boerne, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the home of his aunt and uncle in the Morris Ranch community.

Conley was born Aug. 31, 1994, in El Cajon, California, the son of Christopher Conley and Ruth Arizola Conley.

He was employed by Oil Filtration Systems of Boerne.

Memorials may be made to Project Semicolon or to the charity of choice.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Bernadine Charlene Linnstaedter Cooper, 86, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 11, at First Baptist Church.

Robert Neil Dalton

Robert Neil Dalton, 65, of Lake Hills, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2016.

Graveside services and interment were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Russell officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Dalton was born Oct. 14, 1950, in Houston, the son of Robert Thomas Dalton and Nola Mae Evans Dalton.

He was a United States Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Joe Dujka of Austin, and two sisters, Sandra Campbell of Alabama, and Gloria Wolfe of Stephenville.

Betty Ethel

Betty Ethel, 89, nee McElroy, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Windcrest Nursing and Rehab Center.

A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jeff Hammond officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ethel was born April 7, 1926, in Vernon, the daughter of Tommy McElroy and Loura Pennington McElroy. She married Leland (Lee) Ethel on June 9, 1946, in Los Angeles, California. He preceded her in death.

Former Dallas residents, the Ethels moved to Fredericksburg in 1974 and were active members of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, the Gillespie County Historical Society and founding members of the Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance which began the annual Oktoberfest.

John Henry Evans Jr.

John Henry Evans Jr., 89, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016.

A private family memorial service is planned at a later date.

Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Evans was born March 29, 1926, in Ohio, the son of Henry and Kate Evans. He married Patricia Ann Jenkins. They were married 64 years at the time she died.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John Roger and Patricia Evans of San Antonio; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Evans was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Evans.

Memorials may be made to Pioneer Memorial Library or the charity of choice.

Mary Reed Ferguson, 58, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Jereleen Harper

JERELEEN HORLEN HARPER

Jereleen Harper, 87, nee Horlen, of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016.

A memorial service is planned at a later date.

Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Ms. Harper was born March 16, 1928, in Gillespie County, the daughter of Emil Horlen and Mae Schwettmann Horlen.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Harper of Fredericksburg, and Darcel Kayfus of Bedford; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lila Harmon.

Memorials may be made to the Golden Hub Meals on Wheels, the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of choice.
