Ross Clayton Lehmberg


ROSS CLAYTON LEHMBERG

Ross Clayton Lehmberg, 25, of Mason and College Station, died Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Lake Conroe.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mason with the Rev. Tim Scheffel officiating. Dreu Bearden was the organist.

Interment followed in Gooch Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Mason Funeral Home where visitation was held Tuesday evening, May 6.

Lehmberg was born Sept. 30, 1988, in San Angelo, the son of Mark Lehmberg and Judy Geistweidt Lehmberg.

A 2007 graduate of Mason High School, Lehmberg graduated from Texas A&M University in 2011 with a bachelor of business administration degree.

He worked as a marketing representative for True Protection, and was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Eddy R. Mayfield


EDDY R. MAYFIELD

Eddy R. Mayfield, 65, of Millersview, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.

A memorial service was held Saturday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Sweetwater with the Reverends Eric Von Atzigen and Malcom Brown officiating.

Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.

Mayfield was born Oct. 9, 1948, in Sweetwater, the son of Jimmy and Patsy Mayfield.

He is survived by two sons, one daughter and spouses, including Jack and Caren Mayfield of Midlothian; Dean and Rebekah Mayfield, and Stacey and Mike French, all of Abilene.

Survivors also include eight grandchildren and two brothers, Rex Mayfield of Sweetwater, and David Mayfield and his wife, Laurie, of Fredericksburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mrs. Felix P. Petsch

Mrs. Felix P. Petsch, 96, nee Cora Emma Pehl of Fredericksburg, died Monday, May 12, 2014, at Windcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 14, from 5-7:30 p.m., and Thursday, May 15, from 7:30-9:45 a.m., in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Vigil-rosary services will be held Wednesday, May 14, at 6 p.m., at the funeral home.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 15, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with interment following in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to         St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Hill Country Memorial Hospice, the Marienkirche or to the charity of choice.

Barbara Edna Story

Barbara Edna Story, 69, nee Boles, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, May 9, 2014.

No services are planned.

Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Mrs. Story was born Aug. 21, 1943, in Cooper, the daughter of Thomas Boles and Opal Edna Nelson Boles. She married Orville Leroy Story Jr. on Aug. 19, 1972. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kathleen Enderli of Texas City, and two grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Story was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Enderli, and a brother, Gary Boles.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or to the charity of choice.

Nora Sublett


NORA SUBLETT

Nora Sublett, 91, nee Simon, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, May 3, 2014.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 5, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home with the Rev. David Priem officiating.

Interment followed in the Miller Creek Cemetery in Blanco County.

Visitation was held Sunday evening and Monday morning at the funeral chapel.

Mrs. Sublett was born Nov. 15, 1922, in Kimble County, the daughter of Wilhelm Simon and Emma Probst Simon. She married Ray Sublett on April 9, 1938, in Austin. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, one daughter and spouses, Kenneth and Fran Sublett of Houston, and Ethel and Billy Bob Schneider of Llano.

Survivors also include six grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Sublett of Johnson City.

Mrs. Chester Sultemeier, 87, nee Ray Gipson, of Johnson City, died Monday, May 12, 2014.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 14, from 5-7 p.m., at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 15, at 10 a.m., at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home with interment following in the Johnson City Masonic Cemetery.

Jerry B. Walsh


JERRY B. WALSH

Jerry B. Walsh, 84, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, May 8, 2014.

A memorial service was held Monday, May 12, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Elliott Pancoast officiating.

Walsh was born Jan. 24, 1930, in San Antonio, the son of Joseph H. Walsh and Gladys Crow Walsh. He married Jeanette Zaiontz on Aug. 15, 1959, in San Antonio and she survives.

A United States Air Force veteran, Walsh served during the Korean Conflict.

He was a retired insurance adjuster.

In addition to his wife, Walsh is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry W. and Shannon Walsh of Doss and Mike and Lori Walsh of Keller, and one grandson.

Memorials may be made to the Hennig House at Bethany Lutheran Church or to the charity of choice.

Woodrow Wilson (Woodie) Allen


WOODROW WILSON ALLEN

Woodrow Wilson (Woodie) Allen, 96, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, April 24, 2014.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 30, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Pam Traver officiating.

Interment followed in Der Stadt Friedhof.

Visitation was held Tuesday evening, April 29, at the funeral home.

Allen was born April 18, 1918, in Pidcoke, the son of Albert Allen and Willie Brown Allen.

He served with the U.S. Navy for more than 20 years.

Allen is survived by two sons, two daughters and spouses, including Leslie and JoAnne Allen of Austin; Robert and Edith Allen, Las Vegas, Nevada; Audrey Allen, Fredericksburg, and Barbara and Stefan Sasko, Johnson City; nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by a son, Steven Ray Allen; two sisters, Ann Grobe and Modene Gazaway, and a brother, Albert Allen Jr.

Dianne Baker


DIANNE BAKER

Dianne Baker, 63, nee Garrett, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, May 2, 2014.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 5, at 10 a.m. at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jason Fry officiating.

Interment followed in the Center Point Cemetery.

Visitation was held Monday morning at the church.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Mrs. Baker was born June 20, 1950, in Breckenridge, the daughter of Howard Garrett and Dorothy Hutton Garrett. She married Albert Baker on Oct. 16, 2002, in Durango, Colorado, and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Baker is survived by the following children and spouses: Howard Douglas and Ashley Nicole Powell of Corpus Christi, and Joe and Amber Baker Moellendorf of Boerne.
