Harper man indicted for double murder
Former Harper resident Joseph Cisco Knight, 67, has been indicted in the double-murder of his wife and granddaughter.
The Gillespie County Grand Jury issued an indictment Monday, July 14, against Knight on the charge of Capital Murder of Multiple Persons.
He stands accused of shooting his wife, Karon Elaine Knight, 59, and his granddaughter, Barbara Lynn (Barbie) Knight, 19, around 8 p.m., Friday, May 9, in their home at 623 Josephine Drive in Harper.
After he allegedly killed the two female relatives, he called local law enforcement to turn himself in.
Knight remains in Gillespie County custody with bond set at $1 million.
