Zion Music Fest on Marktplatz stage June 28
Zion Music Fest, featuring Christian music artists, will return to Marktplatz at noon Saturday, June 28.
Artists Matt Adler, Forever Young & Icris will return, along with new guests Scott Ivey and Fredericksburg’s own Samantha Ann Little.
Other Christian bands set to hit the stage include Prophet Within, Zion Road and For The People.
Headlining the event this year is Seventh Day Slumber.
Organizers will welcome comedian Adrian Lucio of San Antonio and guest speaker will be Jake Edwards, former First Baptist Church youth minister, now of Lubbock.
Also included in the event will be a Kidz Zone, skateboard exhibition, food vendors and Christian clothing vendors.
Other ministries on hand will include the CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association), Chariots of Light Motorcycle Ministry, Salvation Army, G42U Leadership Academy, HADIT (Harper Active Drug Intervention Team) and the Know Peace Ministries Prayer Team.
Special guests of honor are Marley Bedford and her sisters, Delaney and Rory.
“Zion Music Fest is a music ministry reaching out to the now generation: our youth,” said Paul Larson, organizer.
Know Peace Ministries is a nonprofit organization that operates on the donations of churches, businesses and individuals to be able to offer this event free of charge to families in the community and beyond, Larsen said. “Because of the generosity in our community, we were also able to award a 2014 FHS senior a scholarship,” he said.
