Fort Martin Scott to host concert, re-enactments

Fort Martin Scott concludes its first season of events with “Pickin’ On The Porch” on Friday, June 13, from 6-9 p.m.

Performers include Kerrville-based dulcimer club Southwind, John Kirby and Austin Ladd Roberts.

Food and beverages will be on hand. Attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chairs, or use the fort’s bench seating. Admission is free with a $5 per car parking fee.

On Saturday, June 14, the fort will host “Fort Martin Scott Day,” a full day of living history interpretations and re-enactments, period crafts and games, music and storytelling, complete with cannon firing and military drills. Admission is free with a $5 per car parking fee.
