Reid, Lang top list of 40 Longhorn grads
Forty Harper High School seniors will receive their diplomas during commencement exercises slated in the Harper Independent School District gymnasium on Friday, June 6, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The processional whereby the graduating students will enter the gym in pairs will open the event, with music provided by the HHS Band. The band will then play the National Anthem.
Cassidy Deike will offer the invocation, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Kayla Inmon.
After welcoming comments are made by Lindsey Milner, Annie Yates will present a special reading to the parents.
Madison Lang will then give her salutatory address, followed by the valedictory speech offered by Taylor Reid.
Harper High School principal Dean Eckert will lead a presentation of awards and scholarships, followed by the introduction of the administration by Baley Felts.
A response to the faculty will then be given by Destinee Love.
HISD superintendent Chris Stevenson will present the seniors for graduation.
Following the playing of the school song and fight song by the HHS Band, Sarah Whitten will lead the benediction.
The recessional will consist of “Best Day of My Life” by American Authors.
Ushers for graduation will be Rachel Maner, Angie Pascarella, Austin Noah and Guy Stevenson.
