Michaela Priess writes way to state UIL competition

A Fredericksburg High School sophomore will be competing in the State University Interscholastic League Academic Meet after finishing second on Saturday.
Michaela Priess won the silver medal in Editorial Writing at the Region IV UIL Academic Meet at Texas A&M — Corpus Christi.
The state meet will be held May 20 on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin.
Priess was among 13 students from FHS competing in the Region IV UIL Academic Meet.
Jennifer O’Neil placed fourth in News Writing and in Editorial Writing and is an alternate to state in both events.
The Journalism team finished third.
Cohen Crenwelge finished fifth in Current Events and Issues.
