Ladyhorns to send eight to state meet

Harper High School’s girls’ track team won last weekend’s Region IV-1A championship and will send five representatives — Sydney Collins, Megan Myers, Payton Reid and Taylor Reid in 200-meter and 400-meter relays, and Logan White who set a meet record in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.28 — to the UIL state meet set for May 9-10 in Mike A. Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin.

While the Longhorn boys’ team finished 15th in the overall team standings, it will send two members to the state championship — Brayden Hagendorf (who registered a mark of 6’ in the high jump) and Micah Middleton (tied for fourth in the high jump).
