Golfers head to state Monday

For the first time in the school’s history, both rosters won the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region IV-3A Golf Tournament when they played in Corpus Christi on different courses last week on April 14-15.
Both squads will play at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop on Monday, April 28.
According to UIL, the approximate tee time for state rounds is at 8 a.m. each day.
Competing on the FHS boys’ golf team will be Cole Grona, Hudson Ross, Tyler Kaman, Mills Meier and Langston James.
Shooting on the girls’ state team will be Kristen Payne, Kaytlen James, Katelyn Zuberbueler, Leanne Shackelford and Lorin Flores.
