Softball defeats Wimberley 9-6

With no game Tuesday night due to academic testing, the Fredericksburg High School varsity softball team will take the momentum from a 9-6 road win over Wimberley Friday into a three-game stretch this week.

The Billies will host Bandera on Thursday and Canyon Lake on Friday, before travelling to Boerne on Tuesday. All games are set for a 7 p.m. first pitch.

“This was a much needed win and it helped boost their confidence,” head coach Mitchell Etzel said of his team’s 9-6 win over Wimberley. “The girls hit the ball tremendously well with no one striking out the entire game.”
