Harper softball rallies for win

Harper High School picked up an incredible 9-7 come-from-behind victory at Junction on Friday in last week’s only varsity softball action.

HHS’ junior varsity also picked up a win at Junction, earning a 22-6 victory over the younger Lady Eagles.

The Ladyhorns continue their schedule with back-to-back road games. On Friday, Harper goes to Medina for a 5 p.m. contest (there will be no JV action). From there, HHS moves on to Center Point for a 6 p.m. match-up (JV game time has yet to be determined).

Harper 9, Junction 7

A furious eight-run comeback in the top of the seventh inning provided the Ladyhorns with a 9-7 victory in district action Friday at Junction.

Eight different Harper players reached safely on base hits, with Shelby Koenig and Courtney Ahrns ripping out two hits apiece.
