Gillespie EEA to host annual spring luncheon on Thursday
Gillespie County Extension Education Association will host its annual Spring Luncheon tomorrow, Thursday, April 3, in the Fellowship Hall of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church.
Serving will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tickets for the luncheon are $7 in advance or $8 at the door.
Pre-sale tickets are available at the Gillespie County Extension Office or from members of the EEA.
In addition to dining in the Fellowship Hall, patrons can also get to-go plates.
This home-cooked food fundraiser helps support scholarships for youth in Gillespie County who are active in the Gillespie County 4-H program.
Recipients of the 2014 Gillespie County Extension Education Association scholarships are Amy Heimann and Mackenzie Spisak.
Other activities during the luncheon include a country store featuring crafts, home-baked goods and miscellaneous items.
There will also be prize drawing items available.
The objective of the Texas Extension Education Association is to strengthen, develop, coordinate and extend adult education to improve the quality of life for families and communities in cooperation with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service A&M University System, explained Shea Nebgen, Gillespie County Extension Agent — Family and Consumer Sciences.
