Harper softball blasts past Mason 21-3

Harper’s varsity softball team bats went crazy as the Ladyhorns scored 33 runs in its last two victories, defeating Comfort 12-2 at home on Friday then besting Mason on the road 21-3 Tuesday night.
The 20th ranked Ladyhorns will go on the road for its next two games, traveling to Junction on Friday for a 6 p.m. match-up (with the junior varsity squads facing off following the first contest), the moving on to Medina on Friday, April 4, for a 5 p.m. game. There will be no JV action that evening.
Harper 21, Mason 3
After trading three runs each in the opening frame, the visiting Harper Ladyhorns exploded from 18 runs in the second, third and fourth innings to come away from Mason 21-3 Tuesday evening.
Of the 16 hits hammered out by Harper, two apiece came from the bats of Shelby Koenig, Kendall Baethge, Courtney Ahrns, Morgan Baethge, Julia Scott and Megan Myers.
Scott also contributed five runs batted in and scored twice.
