Baseball falls to Canyon Lake 8-5
The Fredericksburg High School varsity baseball team will be looking for some payback on Friday night as they travel to Canyon Lake for a 7 p.m. first pitch.
Last night, the Billies fell at home to the Hawks 8-5 after dropping a close 5-4 decision at home Tuesday night.
Fredericksburg is 1-5 so far in District 27-3A play.
Canyon Lake 8, FHS 5
A four-run Hawk fourth inning proved to be too much for the Billies to rally back from as FHS fell to Canyon Lake 8-5 at home Tuesday night.
“We made too many errors and didn't get hits when we needed them. I thought Wade Davis pitched his tail off,” head coach Derrick Dietrich said. “We have got to make plays behind our pitchers. When you have trouble scoring runs as we have, you can’t afford to give teams more opportunities.”
