Trustees discuss health programs
By Richard Zowie —
The Fredericksburg Independent School District’s board of trustees discussed fund balances, received a report from the School Health Advisory Council and approved a new requirement for incoming freshmen at its Monday meeting.
Among the estimated fund balances by the end of the current fiscal year on June 30 are:
• School Nutrition Fund — $409,314.
• Debt Service Fund — $2,444,523.
• General Fund — $12,258,301.
• Local Capital Projects Fund — $1,618,958.
The local capital projects fund balance includes both “planned and in-process expenditures” such as staff tablets and the effluent water project, along with “planned but not definitive future projects,” such as the agriculture facility, FHS stadium field and track project and tablets for FHS and Fredericksburg Middle School students.
