Boys' soccer shut out 3-0 by Alamo Heights Tuesday
By Lisa Treiber-Walter —
Fredericksburg High School varsity boys’ soccer players continue to fight tooth-and-nail for their survival, even after last night’s 3-0 shutout blow dealt by San Antonio powerhouse Alamo Heights.
The stumble before home fans in FHS Stadium puts the Billies’ win-loss-tie count at 5-8-2 for the season as they reach their mid-way point in the District 54-4A contest.
The second half rotation of loop play begins with a 7 p.m. home bout against Boerne High School’s Greyhounds on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
The Billies will head into that game having had a chance to rest up and recuperate with their open date this Friday, Feb. 21.

“We played a really good game tonight against a good team,” said FHS Coach Shannon Petsch following his squad’s loss to the Mules at home.
FHS went down 1-0 with 20 minutes left in the first half and managed to hold Alamo Heights at bay until the mid-game point.
