Mrs. Felix M. Moritz
Mrs. Felix M. Moritz, 85, nee Evelyn H. Kozielski of Fredericksburg, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at Fredericksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating.
Interment followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation was held Wednesday evening and Thursday morning at the funeral home.
Mrs. Moritz was born April 3, 1928, in Cuero, the daughter of Jerome M. Kozielski and Emma Halfmann Kozielski Petri. She married Felix Marcus Moritz on Oct. 12, 1946, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death.
Over the years, Mrs. Moritz worked at Security Café; Dairy Cream and the Fredericksburg Steam Laundry. Later, she sat as a care giver to the elderly.
Mrs. Moritz is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine (Gerry) and Nick Bishop of Fredericksburg, and two sons, Douglas Moritz of Fredericksburg and Anthony (Tony) Moritz of Kerrville.
Survivors also include seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Newton and Ann Kozielski and Wesley and Clara Ann Kozielski; a sister-in-law, Adeline, Mrs. Delton Kozielski, and a brother-in-law and spouse, Elroy and Josie Juenke, all of Fredericksburg.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moritz was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers, including Mary Ann Haufler, Vernell Tatsch, Beatrice Frances Juenke, Jerome Kozielski and Delton Kozielski.
Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.
Pallbearers included Randy Juenke, Michael Juenke, Jym Chenault, Ronald Kozielski, Keith Kozielski, Marlin Hartmann and Dennis Ottmers.
