JV netters to head to Llano

Headed back to Yellowjackets territory, the Fredericksburg High School junior varsity tennis team will compete in the Llano JV Tournament tomorrow, Feb. 6.

The appearance in Llano will be the second in a week’s time since the Billies competed there in a Llano JV Dual Match last Thursday, Jan. 30.

After tomorrow’s contest, the sub-varsity squad will ramp up to host its own Fredericksburg JV Invitational on local courts Thursday, Feb. 13.

After that, there are at least five more junior varsity-specific contests on the spring schedule, culminating with the University Interscholastic League (UIL) District 27-3A Tennis Tournament in Fredericksburg on March 28-29.

Llano Dual Match

FHS Coach Donald Hohn described last week’s match in Llano as another “good opportunity for our younger kids just to get some match experience.”
