JV, freshman boys sweep Bandera, Wimberley

Fredericksburg High School junior varsity and freshman basketball hosted Bandera on Tuesday, Feb. 4 with the JV winning, 43-34, and the freshmen winning, 54-29.

Complete results from the Bandera game will be in next week’s newspaper.

The two teams faced Wimberley on Jan. 31 and recorded a sweep as the JV won, 59-33, and the freshmen won, 45-36.

Fredericksburg next will host Canyon Lake on Friday, Feb. 7, as both the freshman and JV squads will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Then, on Tuesday, Feb. 11, FHS will travel to Boerne. The freshmen play at 5 p.m., and the JV at 6:15 p.m.

Junior varsity

The FHS JV team wasted no time against Wimberley Friday evening, jumping out to a 21-4 first-quarter lead. They led 50-22 after three quarters and cruised to a 59-33 win.

Freshmen

The FHS freshmen had a tight game against Wimberley Friday evening, as the score was tied at 32 points after three quarters.

The Billies’ 13-4 fourth-quarter run helped put the game out of reach as they won, 45-36.

The freshmen had three players in double digits: Johnny Cleland, Tyler Kaman and Langston James.
