Hess files for reelection in FISD school board race
One of three incumbent trustees for the Fredericksburg Independent School District board has filed for reelection.
Board president Lorrie Hess filed at the FISD administrative office on Friday.
The other two board members whose seats are up for reelection in May include vice president Leola Mills and trustee Kay Stech. All three FISD officials have been on the board since the 2008-2009 school year and have served two terms.
Doss school elections
Doss Common Consolidated School District will also hold school board elections on May 10.
Three positions are open for reelection: Cecil Crenwelge, treasurer, along with Linda Kesler and Denver Mixon, both school board members.
Doss administration superintendent Terri Criswell said the three would be running for the school board in general. As of Tuesday, Feb. 4, none of the three incumbents have filed for reelection, and no one has filed to run against them.
