Harper girls edge Junction 39-38

By Danny Hirt —

With District 27-1A regular season hoops action winding down next week, the Harper High School Ladyhorns are in excellent position to claim one of the league’s playoff seeds into the post-season tournament.

Harper (6-2 district, 21-7 overall) won its last two games, defeating Mason at home on Friday 46-32, then topping Junction on the road last night in a squeaker, 39-38.

Harper currently sits in the 24th position in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches’ most recent poll of 1A girls’ teams in the state.

The Ladyhorns host Center Point on Friday and then travel to Nueces Canyon on Tuesday, Feb. 4 to end the schedule.

Both games will tip off at 6:30 p.m.
