Girls' basketball falls to Navarro
With two more games remaining on the District 27-3A schedule, the Fredericksburg High School varsity girls’ basketball team has a chance at making the playoffs.
The Billies are coming off of two losses this past week, to Navarro on Tuesday night, 70-57, and to Boerne, 60-54, on Friday night.
Fredericksburg will host Wimberley on Friday night, Jan. 31, in the FHS Gym before hitting the road on Tuesday night to take on Bandera in their final game of the regular district schedule.
Tipoff for both games is 7 p.m.
In other district basketball action on Tuesday night, Wimberley beat Canyon Lake, 58-30, and Boerne won over Bandera, 76-34.
On Friday night, Wimberley defeated Navarro, 55-50, and Bandera beat Canyon Lake, 34-26.
The Billies are currently 4-4 in district play.
Sitting at the top of the District 27-3A standings is Boerne at 7-1, followed by Navarro at 6-2 and Wimberley at 5-3.
Rounding out the standings are Bandera at 2-6 and Canyon Lake at 0-8.
This year, four teams from each 3A district will advance to the playoffs.
