Harper girls win back-to-back games

After a week that brought a pair of victories, the Harper High School girls’ varsity basketball team is now sporting a 19-6 overall record, 2-1 in District 27-1A, Division II.
The Ladyhorns followed Friday’s razor-thin 44-43 win over Junction with a 36-24 decision at Center Point last night.
Harper will now host Nueces Canyon on Friday, then travel to Medina Tuesday. Both games will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The Ladyhorns currently hold down the 18th spot in the most recent 1-A poll conducted by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.

The Ladyhorns pulled away early in a low-scoring game, eventually coming out on top by a 36-24 margin Tuesday night at Center Point.
With the win, Harper is sporting a 2-1 District 27-1A record (18-7 overall).
Logan White topped the Ladyhorn scoring with 15 points. She also led her team in rebounding with seven.
Following an 11-6 advantage by the end of the opening frame, Harper advanced that to a seven-point margin by intermission (18-11).
