FHS girls split pair in district play

Fredericksburg High School varsity girls’ basketball team split a pair of games over the past week to open their District 27-3A schedule.
Playing in the FHS Gym on Tuesday night, the varsity squad lost to Boerne, 50-42, after defeating Canyon Lake, 44-20, on Friday, Jan. 3.
District 27-3A play continues on Friday when the Billies travel to Navarro for a 7 p.m. game.
Then, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, the FHS varsity squad will play in Wimberley at 7 p.m.
In other District 27-3A games on Tuesday night, Navarro defeated Wimberley, 51-49, and Bandera won over Canyon Lake, 27-21.
On Friday night, Boerne won over Navarro, 66-51, and Wimberley played Bandera (score unavailable).
