New Year's Day means business offices shuttered
Whether it’s a quiet celebration at home or out with friends and family, it’s time to celebrate the end of 2013 and the start of a new year.
And with the arrival of New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day on Tuesday and Wednesday, offices, businesses and stores will be observing special hours during the holidays.
Among those closing their doors or altering their hours for the New Year’s holidays are city, county, state and federal offices.
Because New Year’s Day falls on Wednesday, the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post is publishing early this week on Monday, Dec. 30.
After the early publication, the newspaper office will be open on Tuesday, Dec. 31, but will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
For special information on holiday closings, refer to the advertisements found elsewhere in this issue of the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post.
