Fredericksburg girls rally to best Marble Falls 72-63

After a slow start, the Fredericksburg High School varsity girls’ basketball team came back and defeated Marble Falls, 72-63, on Friday night.

The girls will get a short break before hitting the courts again on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 27-28, as part of the Lampasas Holiday Tournament.

After the start of the new year, the Billies will open their District 27-3A campaign on Friday, Jan. 3, with a road trip to Canyon Lake for a 7:30 p.m. game.

The district schedule continues with Boerne (here) on Jan. 7, Navarro (there) on Jan. 10, Wimberley (there) on Jan. 14 and Bandera (here) on Jan. 17.

The second round of district play opens on Tuesday, Jan. 21, when the Billies host Canyon Lake.

Rounding out the district schedule are Boerne (there) on Jan. 24, Navarro (here) on Jan. 28, Wimberley (here) on Jan. 31 and Bandera (there) on Feb. 4.

 

FHS 72 — Marble Falls 63

Friday, Dec. 20

Playing on the road Friday night, the FHS varsity girls defeated Marble Falls, 72-63.

Finding themselves down 18-5 after the first period, the Billies came back and outscored the Mustangs in all three remaining quarters to take the win going into the Christmas holidays.
